MEASURES TAKEN TO PREVENT AND CONTROL EBOLA AT KILMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The Ebola outbreak in Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Nigeria in the early April 2014 in the West Africa was causing threat to lives of people. In order to combat and prevent further spread to non infected countries, the World Health organization (WHO) in collaboration with Air Operators and other stakeholders in the International travel industry prompted surveillance to passengers arriving from infected countries and set measures to control spread of the disease which prompted air operators.
